Transition Belper is a small charity - not a registered charity - so we are reliant on donations, fund-raising activities and taking advantage of any funding and support programmes available.
We hold a raffle at all our monthly meetings which pays for room hire. We would ask, if you are able, to give generously to help the cause – we have other costs to cover in the normal course of events such as insurance for when we hold stalls and events. We do, however, recognise that there will be those who cannot contribute financially and we wish to be as inclusive as possible and welcome everyone to our cause. For this reason we only ask for a membership fee of £5 per year.
If you’d like to make a donation please get in touch – your support will be most welcomed. Bear with us while we build the web site – we’ll add online facilities for making donations when we can.
Alternatively you can set up a standing order or credit transfer through your bank by using the following details:
Account: Transition Belper Limited
Bank: Unity Bank
Sort Code: 60 83 01
Account Number: 20371010
There are other sources of funding and support and the projects below detail funding and support bid submissions we have won, submitted or are being prepared at the moment.
NEA Green Deal and Affordable Warmth Programme
Transition Belper was one of only ten submissions in the country to be awarded support from National Energy Action and the only community group to be selected. See our Green Deal page for details
DECC Local Energy Assessment Fund (LEAF)
In early February 2012 we were notified that we had successfully bid for over £51,000 worth of projects that will take our understanding of energy efficiency and the potential for renewable energy to a new level. For more details see our LEAF page
