Charities, community and campaigns:

Derwent Valley Trust - The Derwent Valley Trust was responsible for the Derwent Valley Heritage Way – a walking route from Ladybower to Shardlow. It is now campaigning for the Derwent Valley Cycleway – a multi user traffic free route from Derby.

Woodland Trust - Information & awareness

Global Justice Derby - Global Justice Derby is a local group of the national Global Justice Now which challenges corporate power and the policies that cause poverty and inequality all over the world. It acts in solidarity with those fighting injustice, especially in the global south.

Belper Gardening Club - Belper Gardening Club are a friendly local community group meeting on the 4th Wednesday of each month, with monthly speakers on a variety of gardening and related topics, walks in the countryside, community gardening projects, trips to view both local and national gardens - all with a love of the outdoors and all things in nature

Amnesty International Belper Group - Amnesty International has worked for over 50 years to stop torture and support human rights. We will have petitions and letters to sign in support of this. We also have leaflets etc which explain our work for the public to take home. We will be selling books, bags, candles etc to raise funds

Oxfam - Oxfam will be selling second hand clothes, accessories, jewellry, camping equipment, musical instruments, vinyl and bric-a-brac. All these items have been donated to the Belper shop.

Friends of Belper Parks - We sell jams, marmalades & chutnies. We will be taking orders for "Belper & Belper Parks Honey" produced by the group's bees from pollen & nectar mostly from the wildflower meadow and trees in Belper parks. Honey will be available when harvested at the end of September.

Belper Neighbourhood Plan - is being developed by a group of residents and is at the stage where a first draft has been written. We welcome any comments you have. Membership of the group is open to all residents and those who work in Belper, Milford & Makeney and outlying areas that are within the civil parish of Belper. If you can vote in Belper elections, then that's you.

Waingroves Community Woodland Trust - Information about our woodland Handmade items that have been made for the woodland to raise funds for us

Nailed - Nailed is am alternative community news site for the people of Belper. It aims to provide news, entertainment, thought-provoking discussion and informatioon for residents of Belper and surrounding areas. At Belper Goes Green, Nailed will be offering people the opportunity to have a go at community journalism, and will be seeking feedback and discussion regarding what people want from their local news site.

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust - We are the only organisation working to protect all wildlife and wild places in Derbyshire for everyone to enjoy. Our stall displays magazines, leaflets and information on all our work. Established in 1962, we managed 43 nature reserves covering more than 688 hectares. We also run events all year round so that everyone can get out and experience Derbyshire’s wild side. We run sessions for nature tots for the little ones to workshops, guided walks, and drop in sessions, and volunteer work parties. We provide a whole series of community events, school visits and wild parties.

The Black Fish - The Black Fish is an international marine conservation organisation on a mission to change attitudes towards our precious oceans and to work on protecting the unique life within them. By investigating, educating and taking non-violent direct action, we campaign to end illegal and destructive fishing practices and safeguard a future for the plentiful species in our seas.

Blue Box Belper - A local community group based on the Parks Estate Belper. We are working to establish a new building on the estate for youth work and other community activities.

1st Somercotes Guides - Upcycling for children – make fun things with stuff you usually thow away!

Belper Early Years Fun - Our stall will have activities for children, including arts and crafts, teddy tombola, treasure hunt and face painting.

Community of Aidan and Hilda - The Community of Aidan and Hilda is an international dispersed community of Christians inspired by the Celtic spirituality of Britain and Ireland. Our vision is restoring a new Christian interconnectedness to Spirit and Scriptures, Saints and Streets, Seasons and Soil, and in healing fragmented people and communities. East Midlands C.N.D. - An information and interactive activity stall about the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in its local context, militarisation of society and its ecological / humanitarian impact.

Hope for Belper - Promotion of Christians Against Poverty (CAP) money and CAP lifestyle courses - debt management advice for healthy living, healthy eating, cooking and budgeting. Promotion of Chaplaincy and Street Angels.

Belper Arts Festival - Fundraising and promoting Belper Arts Festival events including workshops for dementia awareness

Friends of the Baby Unit - We are a local charity raising money for life-saving equipment for premature and poorly babies at the Royal Derby Hospital which covers Amber Valley area. This we have been doing now for 40 years. All our goods are hand made by local knitters / crafters.

Into the Wild Wood - A selection of handmade needle felted woodland animals – figures and heads for sale. They will also be promoting the Local Charter branch for the Woodland Trust’s Charter for trees, woods and people due to be launched in November 2017. There will be information about the Charter and an interactive art activity where there is a chance to decorate a leaf and dress a tree branch. I will be gathering signatures of support for the Charter.

RamsActive - is an independent and self-funded heritage, community and charity initiative, operated by twin brothers David & Paul Mortimer. We will be presenting our DCFC heritage display and enable charity donations from merchandise sales. We will contribute to recycling at BGG with a 'football shirt amnesty', where people can donate unwanted tops, sports polo shirts, for us to arrange onward donation of them to a charity that sends clothing to the disadvantaged in Africa and other countries.

Churches Together in Belper - Activity stall based around the theme for Pentecost and Prayer making paper kites, flames etc and other craft activities.

Forging Futures - A forum for discussion regarding the needs and experiences of young people and their families. The opportunity to be involved in creating a dynamic community group that works for them. Information on local courses aimed at improving the wellbeing,  opportunities and connections for young people. Help and advice relating to learning and mindfulness in schools.

Derby Greenpeace Group - Information about environmental issues and activities.

Amber Valley Against Fracking - Local campaign group dedicated to fighting plans by Ineos to start fracking in the Ripley and Alfreton areas of Amber Valley

Angels Small Paws Dog Rescue - Hand-made crafts & rescue merchandise

Fundraiser for Malawi 2018 - The Coleys are fundraising for an expedition to Malawi in 2018 with school. There will be a tombola and animals made from new socks plus other homemade items.

Peak & Dukeries Greenwood Workers - Community based crafts in wood and wool

Wild Things - Information stall looking at taking control i.e. of your work or housing situation, lifestyle choices.... So there will be info about workers and housing co-ops, Wild Peak Housing Co-op, Wild Things, Radical Routes etc.

Jacksons Jewels - Hand crafted cotume jewellery, wall plaques artificial flower arrangements, gifts

Twee Stuff - We take unwanted things like old and broken jewellery, unwanted clothes, scraps of fabric and many other bits and bobs and recycle/upcycle them into lovely items. We make pictures, jewellery, soft toys, vamped up walking sticks and lots of other “Twee Stuff”.

Jacqui De Rose Original Art - Original Watercolour Paintings, mounted prints, cards and jewellery inspired by Mother Nature, Mythology and Earth Traditions by local artist Jacqui de Rose. Jacqui regularly exhibits at Mind Body Spirit Events and Pagan festivals around the country. Commissions welcomed.

Webbyhead - Barrow stall selling ponchos & pixie jumpers, blankets & throws, handmade vintage style rings, earings & pendants. Hand made fairy garlands& cats' ears. A huge array of friendship bands & a very popular lucky dipbox for children. Also doing henna & tattoos.

The Unique Gift Co - We make gifts and furniture from recycled wood, including original artworks in Pyrography.

Chris Baxter’s Baskets - Chris Baxter’s Baskets offer Traditional English Basketry using locally (Notts) sourced willows and willow decorations and garden pieces including sculptures. I work to commission, so if you see a basket you like but would like some changes you can design your own! Workshops regularly held in Nottinghamshire and by request. There will be a bird feeders and other items of willowy loveliness workshop over the weekend in the Fun Palace.

Wool 'n' Wonder - Hand dyed and/or hand spun fleece and Yarn. Knitted animals. Hand-woven wall hangings and textile baskets/bags

Araminta Luna - I make various items, from blankets, shawls and bags, to key rings, mainly knit and crochet with some sewing. weaving, and jewellery thrown in. I often use yarn/fabric left over from other projects, or from charity shops, to make many of my items.

Sarah Turner Eco Art & Design - I design and make lights, flowers, artworks, jewellery and gifts from rubbish! I collect mostly plastic bottles and cans from local homes and businesses and upcycle them into lovely, new, unique products.
Each item is lovingly handmade in my Nottingham studio.

Equinella - Equinella offers stunning, crystal shamballa browbands for horses, hand made using a mixture of leather, cord and beads. Also selling small digital art horse pictures

Green Emporium - Based in Sherwood, Nottingham, the Green Emporium Eco shop offers a wide range of, natural products, eco-friendly ideas and lovely gifts, selected with care, to support and enhance greener, more sustainable lifestyle choices, including local and British-made goods, cruelty-free cosmetics and toiletries, chlorine-free household sundries, re-usable, refillable and recycled items.

Travel, transport and energy:

Cyclewirks - I am a local trader, born and based in Wirksworth, running a small cycle repair workshop and enjoy providing a service to the local community. I always recycle waste and scrap materials and when working on bikes I do my best to repair or re-use materials and never use new parts if the original can be cleaned up and still used. This works out cheaper for the customer and of course better for the environment. Whenever possible I use renewable and biodegradable products sourced locally, from the UK or Europe. I strongly believe in buying local and British when I can.

Utility Warehouse - The stall will be a free prize draw for £10,000 or a BMW Mini car. I do not take any money during the prize draw. I am an independent distributor for Utility Warehouse, on entering the prize draw individuals are invited to learn more about saving money on household spending by becoming a member of the Utility Warehouse Club.
